At Your Premises
The process is not only convenient for you, it ensures your safety every step of the way.
When our professional enters your property, social distancing measures will be followed to ensure the safety of all individuals in the property.
Prior to beginning the 'scanning' we will have staged your property so it showcases what's on offer for your potential target market.
Here's how the process works:
We'll close any doors you do not want to be included in the tour. For example your coat cupboard or the cupboard under the stairs.
We'll put away any personal items eg. pictures on the walls.
We'll turn on any lighting, where relevant, to ensure a constant source of lighting.
All pets and people should now leave otherwise the quality of the scanning will be affected.
A defined path will have been determined to give the tour the best flow.
The Matterport camera is positioned at the same fixed height and at relevant scanning points in each room - we try to imagine there is a human doing this so we can replicate where they are likely to stand.
We now turn on the Matterport camera and wirelessly connect it with an ipad.
As the ipad drives the process, we create a placeholder (this is referred to as the model) to capture the images of your property. Once the model is saved, we start the scanning process by hitting the record button on the ipad. A "mini map" is created by the camera - this is a top down perspective of the area being captured and the scanning positions within it. The camera is then moved to the next position and so on until the scanning process captures the entire room.
The scanning is repeated for each room, including corridors, on the first level.
The stairs are then scanned (if relevant).
The scanning process then continues on the next level. This process is repeated until the entire property is scanned. Even outside can be scanned.
Once the scanning is complete, this is the end of the on-site visit.
Back at the Office
After we've left, there's some further work required by us. We will edit the data as required and then upload the model to the Matterport cloud. You can then access your model at any time and from anywhere. You can also then share your model with your estate agent so this is included in your marketing collateral to maximise your chances of attracting your target market.
