What's new ?

Updated: Mar 3, 2023

Migh where has the time gone!

2022 was our busiest year to date and 2023 looks to be even busier. 2023 kicked off with a very busy start for sort style and stage, with many different projects on the go and two huge awards received. What a great start to 2023!

Here is our latest news ...

Two Awards

We're delighted to share our wonderful news.

Home Staging Company of the Year 2023-2024

We've thrilled to have won Home Staging Company of the Year 2023-2024 (two years now on the trot!).

Houzz Winner

We're also supper happy to be recognised by Houzz recently in their Best of Houzz Service award.

Renovation - 4 Bed Forever home

This project is a property refurbishment for a family who fell in love with the property's character but were struggling to make it a true family home due to its dated appearance and layout! Our brief is to retain the character but modernise throughout and convert one of the garages and adjoining rooms into an open plan kitchen/dining and casual living area. Here's some of the work that has been done to date:

- new central heating system, pipework, radiators, valves and hot water cylinder

- replacement of relevant single glazed windows

- separate the primary en-suite into en-suite and dressing room and design and fit out new dressing room

- new doors and door furniture

- décor throughout

- new staircase

- insulate attic and other spaces, including below suspended floors as well as externally under bay window roof

- remove a supporting wall, fit steels on two floors to enable a large bedroom and new en-suite

- redesign and fit out of family bathroom, including bespoke shower panels

- stain exterior ornate wood fascias, replace metal gutters with like for like and add upvc fascias, where relevant

- fit window dressings

- design and build storage solution in a bedroom

- new carpets

- strip and stain wooden floorboards

- create larder with LED lighting

- lots of electrical upgrades eg. relocate wiring to allow for wall hung TV, sensor lights added in dark areas

- remove walls to integrate one of the garages into the home to create an open plan kitchen/diner/family space

Here's the family bathroom we created - what a fabulous bath and vanity. We converted a French cabinet into a useable vanity with bespoke sink from Africa.

Here's a preview of two bedrooms that have been separated to create a single bedroom with new en-suite.

The adjoining wall between these bedrooms was structural and as a result, our brilliant steels team structurally supported the property at ground and bedroom level and once we removed the adjoining wall this room was magical, even in build mode! The light entering doubled given that we now have a large expanse of windows.

It was also obvious that an en-suite would further transform this newly created room without compromising on the overall feeling of space, so we segregated one area to create this.

Interior Design - Transforming Two Living Spaces

Our client had considered redesigning their open plan kitchen / living and lounge spaces for quite some time but didn't know where to start. When we met them for their consolation, their rooms were sparsely furnished and the pieces were dated and mismatching.

Our client loves tropical nature so this was top of brief. We went shopping with them so we could guide them through the process of buying new sofas. We then added our artwork, rugs, furniture pieces and lots of accessories to transform their spaces.

Here's what our client thinks:

"We were part way through redecorating our home when we called on Ceri and her team for help. They recommended a new colour scheme and followed up with supplying, installing and staging new furniture to complement our style. Our house is now a cohesive, bright and welcoming place to enjoy and entertain in.
We highly recommend Ceri and her team for translating our aims into a fabulous reality."

Sales and Completions

The housing market slowed down in October and as a result, the market dynamics have changed from a post Covid seller market to a buyer market. Despite this, a number of the client properties we've worked on have sold - in fact, three of our client's properties sold in January!

Here's a glimpse of one of these properties which we completely renovated and staged and is now sold!

Another property we repaired and staged in London has sold!

Another of our repaired and staged properties in Windsor has sold and completed!

It goes to show, when selling in this current climate - renovating, repairs and staging does really make all the difference!

We've had a very busy time packing, removing, storing and then relocating inventory from the above properties onto our next set of client properties.

Outlook for March

We've got a full diary ahead - this includes a mix of interior and staging projects. Here's a glimpse of what we are working on:

We have a fabulous 3-bedroom duplex penthouse apartment that we're mid way through staging. We're also designing and installing an apartment, ready for our client to move into. We're redesigning a pre-teen bedroom which is tight on space. We have some virtual staging projects that we're working on too.

Be sure to keep up to date with all our movements on our Instagram page!
